NAD 317 Protect Circuit

Hi,

I've got a NAD 317 amplifier bi-amped with a NAD 216THX but of late i've been having major problems. The 317 will not come out of protect mode. When you turn it on it goes into protect, but then instead of clicking out of it, as it should do, it stays in protect. Sometimes it will work, but then all of a sudden it will output some random static noise and then go straight into protect again.

The amp is just outside of it's 2 year warranty and is going to cost a load to fix if i have to send it back to NAD. has anyone got any experience of this same problem or any possible home fixes?
