Hello All,
I recently attended a rock concert at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, NH and was very disappointed with the acoustics, especially the vocals. The distortion in the high frequency range was fatiguing and over time became very uncomfortable. What is it with these hockey arena's? The space is so "Live" and without properly addressing the environment acoustically, horrible audio quality in the arena is the end result. The sound engineers running the board kept over compensating for the imbalance acoustically by cranking up the vocals....to a point where the loudspeaker system was stressed, and/or the amplification system was clipping. Bright distorted audio from the loudspeaker system was observed throughout the entire concert...a shame because the artists were simply amazing performers...
Anyone else experience horrendous sound quality from a similar venue?
