surround sound speaker hook up to audio and video

Is there a way to hook up all my audio/video systems so they will play thru my surround sound speakers? Trying to get TV, Directv, DVD, game system, stereo receiver, CD and cassette player connected so they will all use the surround sound speakers. What type of adapters or connectors would I need to accomplish this? All replys are appreciated, as I am clueless on how to do this ...thanks for your help!
