Unfortunately my friend, you can't. I've tried getting a GE Universal remote and it works with the TV, but the TV/VCR function is not setup like the GAME function on the real remote. I'm trying to find out how to get the company's website so I can get a new one. I can't play games or watch movies without it and as far as I know the universal remotes don't work the same.
The TV/VCR function on the universal remote brings the TV to a strange type of setup screen that you can change the brightness and other sorts of things. I also got to a screen that you watch only the video from a game or movie, but you get no sound and some annoying purple letters and numbers at the top of the screen.
Basically you need to get the Symphonic remote, as do I. Sorry. If you find anything else out let me know.
