Fostex 4 track X-55, can I slow down the tape speed?

I just bought a Fostex multitracker X-55 without the manual. From experiance with a Tascam 4 track there were 2 tape speed setings. My Fostex plays the tape at a fast speed. If I can I would like to slow it down so I get more out of my tapes, and so I can listen to ordinary tapes and old 4 track recordings done on the Tascam.
