Home Theater Hook-up? HELP! PLEASE!

I recently bought a Digix HT-1056A DVD Receiving System.

Please help me figure out how to connect the following components:

1. Optimum Interactive Cablevision Box - Sony DHG-M55-CV

2. Digix DVD Receiver Surround Sound System HT-1056A

3. Sharp Color Television 32W-S610

4. Sony SLV-620HS VCR and

5. Magnovox DVD player - MDV 450

I thought that the Digix system would allow me to run the audio through the receiver and speakers of the system no matter which audio component I was using.

I can't get it hooked up at all. I interfaced with the Digix company but they said just hook the Digix video out into the video of the TV, but that doesn't work. I can never get the sound into the receiver and speakers.

I even scanned the owner's manual schematics and sent it to them but they didn't have an answer for me.

I wish I could post the owner's manual schematics on the optional link URL, but I don't have a website. If anyone would be nice enough to help, I can e-mail you the scanned schematics.
